Col. Mary Lowe Mayhugh (Ret.)
Founder & President
Mary Lowe retired as a Colonel from the Active Duty Army in 2016. During her career she worked in multiple countries including Bosnia, Kosovo, Iraq, Kuwait and Afghanistan and has participated in multiple domestic operations including Y2K, 9/11 and Katrina. She has a wealth of experience successfully engaging the Military Services, government agencies, Congress and the White House. Her work transformed military readiness programs and shaped strategies that created collaborative partnerships between the Department of Defense, government agencies and the private sector, to improve access to resources for Military Service Members and their families. She is currently a Principal with MITRE Corporation, Public Sector.
Kevin M. Mayhugh
Director
Kevin is a Senior Account Executive for designDATA, where for the past 18 years he has worked with public entities, associations and other non-profit clients providing outsourced IT Managed Services, high-end IT consulting, and private data center services. Prior to joining designDATA, Kevin was a licensed commercial insurance broker working for Alexander & Alexander and Rollins Burdick Hunter. He specialized in hospital professional liability (HPL), association professional liability (APLI), errors and omissions (E&O) and directors and officer’s liability (D&O) coverages, as well as risk financing, risk retention groups, and off shore captive insurance companies. He graduated with a B.S. degree in Business Administration from Andrews University. Kevin also served in the U.S. Army Reserves from 1983 – 1989.
Michael Catudal
Treasurer, Director of Corporate Sponsorship
Michael earned his Bachelor’s Degree in Arabic and Political Science from the University of New Hampshire in 2009. A New England native, he moved to Bethesda, MD in 2016. Michael is extremely passionate about Veterans’ issues, particularly following his medical discharge from Marine Corps Officer Candidates School in 2011. As Managing Partner of the Capital Business Collective, he is a consultant with specialties in management and business operations, manufacturing and automation, and emerging technology and innovation.
Allen Pierce
Director
Allen is a native of Cambridge Massachusetts. A graduate of Drew University with degrees in French Literature and Music, he also studied music theory and composition at the Juilliard School of Music in New York City. In his professional career, he has over 20 years of experience in sales, business development, fundraising and relationship management working in both the non-profit and private business sectors. He is an active Board and Team Member of Rock Creek Rowing, and of the John P. Mayhugh Foundation.
Susanna Aguirre
Director of Public Policy & Community Outreach
Susanna brings extensive experience across Congress, federal agencies, and the public health community. Susanna began her career as staffer on Capitol Hill and has led the government affairs efforts at the American Association for Cancer Research, the American Medical Informatics Association, the American Society for Pharmacology and Experimental Therapeutics (where she served on a task force on the opioid epidemic for the Office of National Drug Control Policy), and currently the National Sleep Foundation.
Gabriel Bregon
Director of Development
Gabriel is currently leading an Enterprise sales team for Tableau (a Salesforce company), Public Sector. He has experience partnering with the Intelligence Community, Department of Defense, Federal Civilian agencies, and System Integrators to drive mission results. His expertise specifically lies in replacing manual, antiquated systems, with a platform that helps agencies see, understand and act upon their data in real-time. His goal in joining this Foundation is to create data-driven, actionable steps in reducing the impact PTS and TBI has on our service members, their families, and the civilian defense workforce. He is a Washington, DC native, and holds a Bachelor's degree in Finance from Kent State University.

Andrew has extensive experience with entrepreneurial development and funding in a range of industries such as health and psych tech, finance tech, music and media. He utilizes this experience as a consultant, advisor and investor.
Dr. William d'Alelio
Co-Founder
Dr. d’Alelio specializes in psychotherapy, Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder, and Program Development for Psychological Treatment. He has over 35 years of experience in Clinical Psychology. He received his PhD from University of Miami Coral Gables in 1983, with specialized training in PTSD Crisis Intervention at The Langley Porter Neuropsychiatric Institute of The University of California.
